The Real cost of Being Bulletproof..
I am always amazed by the individual who says that they don’t need any Insurance or health coverage.. Sooner or later something will happen as to cause someone to need ether a good doctor or a hospital because they are ether sick or physically injured… If the individuals can not afford the cash payments for a doctor they use the emergency room as the Primary Doctor.. this leads to many problems like: The illness or injury in question is already worse as they have waited to get treatment, or the oposite of that which is clogging the Emergency room with minor colds, flu etc where as larger more acute injuries and conditions could be treated sooner if not for the physican treatable illnesses in a typical emergency room.. And this drives up the cost of healthcare and treatment in general as the hospitals are going to recoup what they can, and the Insurance Companies charge small businesses and individuals more to cover the rising cost of the claims.. And can anybody tell me in english what the actuarial formulas are for insurance? I didn’t think so.. Just because the individual isn’t insured doesn’t mean that treatment does cost.. They still get a bill, and if they can pay it the taxpayers are paying it… And I don’t qualify for regular insurance but I know the real cost of being Bulletproof..
What good money gets you Or will they let you give them your good money?
It is late night again as I put fluid thoughts onto this electric screen. We have the best health insurance that good money can buy although these days that same good money buy less and less coverage as insurance companies increase their premiums to offset the increased cost of these services they provide. Congress has proposed many times for small businesses and Business in general to cover the cost of health-care for the employees.. They have got to be kidding right? No matter what they tell you small business can’t handle that.. We the taxpayers already pay for the indigents health-care through our taxes that pay for both the Government programs and the cost of our inflated stays at a hospital.. the cost of the uninsured has to be paid somehow.. Does a hospital bed really cost $100.00 a night? In examining health-care and insurance if is always a good idea to look behind the retoric…
For those of you reading this you may ask why I have such passionate feel for this subject.. you only have to step into the shoes of my life.. I was born with a congenital condition which is Cerebral Palsy a condition that gives me the mark of an Automatic decline on Insurance.. This last week I went with my wife to look into Long Term Care insurance, and sadly folks I don’t even get to look at it.. I am automatically declined.. Who are they to decide if I am worthy, or for that matter anyone else? Sometimes you can have money to afford it, and still it isn’t enough… Pre-existing Conditions are a killer for Insurance coverage…
David
And what shall we do with that which we choose to Ignore?
Another day goes by and somewhere out there is someone who ether doesn’t have insurance or Does not qualify for coverage? Both conditions are just as disasterious to the individual as believing the bullets in the gun that is pointed at you won’t kill you. It is a funny thing in life that we all believe that health is forever, but the reality is not always the way it is… Is it?
